Hi guys!

I've had an amazing amount of support for my little octopus project these past few months. When I first made one and posted a picture I had no idea people would like it THAT much! But since then I've had several people repost it on tumblr (including the geeky awesomeness that is Wil Wheaton) and the wonderful people at Arda have given my etsy store a much appreciated shout-out on their facebook page! Sooo cooool!

All my pre-made fascinators have been sold and I'm just making up some custom commissions, but there will be more on the way! I've just ordered in a heap of new colours (some very pretty blues, teals and pinks, as well as a wider range of greens, reds and purples). If you have any particular colour combos you'd like to see though, please feel free to add a comment. :)

So if you ever clicked 'like' on a photo or shared it with your friends, thanks again!

No problem! You create stunning art! Can I ask, do you any pieces on sale in some of the art galleries in Margaret River WA? I was there recently and marveling at some paintings of little row boats. They reminded me so much of your work that I was certain I must have stumbled onto the artist's galley.

No, sorry, I don't have any in WA, I live in Sydney and my galleries are also here.

I'll definitely have to check those out next time I visit Sydney. But for now I'll admire your work online. :) The way you capture water is just incredible...

Haha! Thank you! Yeah, that was crazy. I only posted it on Arda's Facebook page to show them what I had done with their wigs and then people just ran with it. I guess the Internet just loves cats and octopuses!

I still smaller versions of it but I would love to get back into my plushie making. I will have to get your advice on how to make resin eyes!

Always happy to give advise ^^ ask away.
I highly recommend this resin www.polymerclay.com.au/cc760ca…
for the eye you will need molds to, the site I linked you has molds as well ^^

Oh that is perfect! I've wanted to make my own moulds (for all those odd-shaped pokemon eyes) but wondered how I could avoid imperfections in the surface and make it as smooth as possible.
I don't suppose you know whether those DIY mould kits are suitable for resin or if they're for clay only? Have you made your own resin moulds before?
