This ALWAYS happens! I get into a good series or book or movie and I think 'ooo that guy's pretty interesting/funny/cute/all three' and then BAM! They kill them off. Every time. And suddenly the story's just not so fun to follow anymore.

It's even gotten to the point where my friends can predict who I'll like in any given film we go to see and then know they'll be bumped off before the end. It's a running joke.

So what's going on? Am I just falling for the wrong types? The not-main-enough chars who are expendable? Or ones too sneaky or honorable for their own good (depending on if they're a baddie or goody)? Or are the plot-writers just cruel to me? Does anyone else have this problem?

(plus my latest bear didn't work out. And I lost my favourite pendant. All in one day.

Edit: Some good news. My second attempt at my bear came out much better. And i found my pendant the next day... in the garden of all places!)
