A number of people had expressed concern about my debit card scam. $2k of my hard earned cash spent in South Africa of all places! Well let me put your mind at ease! The bank called me the other day to say all of my money had been put back into my account. Horrah and phew!

.... and then I spent most of it on my rent and bills.

In other news, my holiday is drawing closer. I can't wait! Seriously. I neeeed a holiday. But it also means I better get a move on if I want my costume ready to take to Acen. (Not sure if people are very interested in this so it'll mostly be something of a progress-list for myself). Let's see, got my shoes, jeans, outer shirt.... wig's arrived and I have the materials to make the ring.

Still can't find any royal blue and white fabric that's suitable. I'm wondering if I could just colour my own with a copic airbrush? Has anyone tried this before? I did a little test sample and the colour comes out nicely and stays in even if I run it under the tap. Just have to be careful not to let the edges bleed too much. I might go buy a cheap shirt and try it out.

And I've got to style my wig, which I'm a little anxious about. Don't want to stuff it up! I've been looking up tuts on DA and there's some good ones. Although most of them are for your straight spiky hairstyles. Anyone any tips for the crooked sort? I guess as long as I plan it carefully and don't rush... I can also try it out on some wefts and see what techniques work. Speaking of which, I ordered far too many pieces than I think I'll need. I might post later to see if anyone wants the leftovers. Waste not want not.

Seeing as I'm going as Ryou I won't bother with a duel disk. Maybe a fancy teacup instead. XD Although I do have a long black coat that would have been perfect... if I hadn't cut it up months ago to try reverse-engineering the pattern from it. Ah the problem with hindsight.
